This tool is a dual purpose tool that allows you to easily remove the pins in the Ruger® 10/22® trigger assembly and easily take out the safety without losing the plunger and spring. One end of the tool acts as a pusher for the pin and the other end for the safety. The pin pusher end is removable and is used to capture the safety plunger. This part was designed by a professional Gunsmith and with the versatility of this tool for working on the trigger assembly it is a must have for anyone working on a Ruger® 10/22®!

Incredibly Handy Tool!

I bought this for working on my 10/22's but have found I use it on just about every gun I own. I use it mostly to push out pins and then make sure everything is aligned again before pushing the pin back in. I plan to buy a second one so I can have one in my range back and another on the work bench at all times. Great product!

Very helpful tool

Being a "Lefty", my 10/22 has an aftermarket Left Hand Safety in it. That said, there was a question as to if this tool would push the safety out, in the same direction as shown in the instructions? It did, and I am not sure it wouldn't just do it in either direction. One point to make here is the Safety Plunger and spring in mine had collected enough souvenir sediment over time, that without this tool, I am not sure the plunger could have ever been pushed out of the way enough to allow removal of the safety and related parts for a deep clean. Unfortunately even though it did the job, it came with a price as it bent the metal armorer piece slightly and heavily marred the part that temporarily replaces the safety while using, but not sure if I could have removed the Safety and related parts any other way. Also the piece that holds the Trigger assembly together for reassembly is priceless, if you have ever tried doing it without it. Another useful tool to have on hand when doing deep cleans, and not just for the 10/22. Well, worth the money.

Handy to own

This is a very handy tool to have on your bench. Not only does it simplify the takedown and reassembly of the 10/22 trigger group, but I find myself using it for many other jobs on my workbench. It is an amazingly easy tool to use on the 10/22 trigger groups and is a generally VERY useful and handy multi use tool for lots of other firearms related assembly and disassembly tasks. Get it!! You will love it!!
