Race Gun Kit for Ruger® MKIV™ 22/45™

Magazine release (round one) works very well and fits the gun nicely. Magazine plates are nice, good addition. Trigger is great, love the halo, it looks great and functions wonderfully. Overall good products and would buy them again.

The positive tactile feedback of the trigger and magazine release work great. The trigger allows proper placement of the finger and allows you to get greater leverage. The magazine release gives you a quick easy touch point for fast changes. The halo ring goes without saying – no more pinched fingers.

This kit makes the gun function better!! Love the new trigger, mag extender. Watch videos before installing them. You Tube has several.

I ordered this kit along with some other stuff after taking my MkIV Lite to the range once. My wife and I both got the little pistols for cheap practice. It's a plucky little turd of a gun that is super fun to shoot straight out of the box, but not particularly reliable. I did a bunch of upgrades all at once and wasn't disappointed with the result. If you use the hiveGrip (highly recommend!), you'll need the extended mag release. I prefer the paddle, but my wife went with the button. I'm glad they include both options, because it's a highly personal choice that you can't make until you try them out. I really wanted the halo, it's probably the best thing outside the grip to improve handling and is worth buying separate if you can't afford the full kit. I was a little torn on the trigger- there are some other options out there and I was worried that the aggressive texture wouldn't be pleasant to shoot. I'm still not sold on the texture, but the trigger itself works great and was very easy to tune in over travel and take-up. My wife didn't want this kit when I ordered, but after a test and tune at our range, I had to order a second kit for her. She wanted the red kit, so that's what she got. All together, it makes a big difference in handling and you won't be sorry.
