Being very disappointed with my Ruger Mark IV Hunter's trigger pull, I knew I had to do something. I ordered both the Victory trigger and the Volquartsen sear. Just being a regular guy with no real gunsmithing experience, I was intimidated by the process, and my fears of messing something up slowed my installation. However, after contacting Tandemkross, I had several reassuring email exchanges with Eric "KaneWold" Paulson, and I got the job done. This upgrade still didn't bring the trigger pull up to the quality feel of the S&W Victory, but it is night and day different from what it was. I will now enjoy shooting this pistol as well. If you need a video aid, the one Tandemkross has by one of the Collier Gun Girls is excellent for the trigger installation. For the sear, I recommend a YouTube video by "Captain Gyro".

Master Piddler
At first I was bummed, but in the end I am extremely satisfied so I am going to give the Volquartsen Target Sear five stars. But that is after a little heart burn figuring out exactly what combination of parts to use. Please read on. It could help you! I am tricking out a Ruger MK IV 22/45 Lite to shoot speed steel with. The stock trigger had way too much pre-travel and over-travel and was a bit heavy for speed steel. Did a little research and ordered the Tandemkross Victory Trigger and the Volquartsen Target Sear hoping to resolve the issues with the factory trigger. This is important! The Volquartsen Target Sear will not work by itself in the Ruger Mk IV 22/45 Lite. I installed it and removed it at least five times (not fun) and it would lock up every time. I finally removed it and reinstalled the factory sear so I was just running the Tandemkross Trigger which helped but didn’t really get the trigger to the crispness and break that I was looking for. More research showed that many people had the same issue. I was going to order the Volquartsen Target Hammer thinking that would fix the issue but luckily I called Volquartsen first and talked to their Tech guy. Ultimately the Volquartsen Target Sear won’t work with the Ruger stock disconnector. Volquartsen now has a disconnector for the Ruger MK IV 22/45 Lite. After talking to the Tech guy I ordered the Volquartsen Hammer, Hammer bushing and disconnector to go with the Volquartsen Target Sear. This setup with the Tandemkross Victory trigger is awesome. You could get away with just the sear and disconnector, but why not go all the way to the dark side! Haha If you do decide on the Tandemkross Victory trigger once you get it set you will need to use a little blue Loctite on the set screws.

Mkiv compatibly
Initially had issues with using an mkiii hammer with the mkiv sear. The trigger disconnector did not land on the sear properly. Contacted volquartsen and they informed me the mkii hammer and bushing was the only one that would work with this sear. They offered to exchange the hammers since they were both volquartsen components. Great folowup I just wish I had the right info from the start. Volquartsen info lacks detail in what part works whith what.

We put one in the pistol and did not work. We call the representative and sent us a new one and it did not work. We went thru several and they did not work. The trigger pull did not work some of the times and when it did pull it was over 9 lbs to pull.
