The 10/22® is a legendary rifle but just like any other gun, it has its own annoyances. Releasing the bolt on a factory original Ruger® 10/22® requires the operator to manipulate the bolt lock with one hand while releasing the bolt with the other.
The TANDEMKROSS Guardian Bolt Release Plate eliminates this manual and tedious step. Once installed it enables the operator to release the bolt in an intuitive way by pulling back slightly on the bolt handle and the bolt simply releases. This part is a must have for any serious 10/22® owner.

Cut off S] on bolt lock
This product functions fine. The gold [tandemkross] branding leaves a cut off "s]" visble on the exposed bolt lock. It looks like a scratch when its installed. Put a smaller [TK] logo on the exposed portion or shift the branding to the left so that when its installed you dont see it. There are so many available options for this product that I would recommend something else for this reason

1022 Auto Bolt Release
Easy drop in part. Works like a charm. 15 minute install.

Requires Unforeseen Fitting; Not a True Drop-In Part
While the concept of the auto bolt release is great, the installation was far from straightforward. Despite a correct installation, the plate bound up completely because the internal edge of the guide slot was too tight and caught against the housing pin, preventing the spring from resetting it. I had to resort to filing down the internal slot myself to get it to function properly. For a part advertised as a simple drop-in upgrade, troubleshooting and modifying it required far more hassle than expected

Guardian bolt release plate
Don't be a fool, get this tool. Many of these out there or you can drimmel out your own but check it out. You can see the difference between TK's and the others. It works the best and looks the best. Worth twice as much as it cost. Nuff said.
